Communications & Content Manager

We’re searching for the right candidate to lead our communications and content functions. If you’re passionate about helping independent agents thrive in today’s rapidly changing insurance industry, interested in the human side of fintech, and eager to put your storytelling skills to good use propelling a story that hasn’t been told, you might be the right fit. Reporting to the VP of Growth and working closely and cross-functionally with the Growth and Product teams, this role is high-impact and high-autonomy. You’ll collaborate with executives and every department within the company, but you’ll also totally own your function. If you have a cross-section of skills in media strategy, content development, executive communications, and storytelling that you’ve been waiting to leverage, you’ll have plenty of room to run here. 

Key responsibilities:

  • Execute and iterate a comms, content, and PR strategy that drives brand recognition and awareness across insurance, fintech, and business audiences
  • Become Agentero’s primary storyteller - owning all corporate, product, data, community, and marketing content
  • Cultivate relationships with members of the media to expand coverage of Agentero and help drive the broader insuretech conversation
  • Lead company thought leadership efforts, working directly with executives on bylines, events, and PR
  • Be a self-driven department-of-one that helps move Agentero closer toward our mission

What you’ll bring to the table:

  • 3-5 years experience, preferably with considerable B2B or SaaS exposure, and a deep understanding of the insurance space
  • In-house experience within a high-growth startup, insurance agency, or fintech provider
  • Ability to open and nurture relationships with tech, industry, and finance media
  • Excellent writing skills with a bias toward clear, compelling, and consistent prose 
  • A stellar attention to detail, a flare for cross-functional collaboration, and the vision to grow a department from scratch
  • Real experience developing executives to support comms initiatives, and the ability to function as an external spokesperson yourself
  • A learning mindset and the motivation to ask the right questions, figure out solutions, and learn new skills on the fly
